About this Author

Jo Potocki helps pro choice movements.

In Richard Dawkin's book, "The God Delusion" he brings up there is no such thing as a Christian child, there is no such thing as a Muslim child. Children are too young to have made a decision regarding theology, so properly it would be "A child of Christian parents, a child of Muslim parents..." and so on. Most adults were indoctrinated into the faith they follow as adults when they were children.

Watch this short video that covers "
Get them while they're young." This is the unspoken (and not so unspoken) mission of churches everywhere.
They understand how critical it is to

@Juana - thanks for your comment - I've gotten several emails from former Catholics on this post interestingly enough.

@Douglas Actually I was sharing someone's video that I happen to agree with. So it's really their thoughts :)

@Geo thanks for your comment, the Dawkins book is available at Amazon.com or you can download it at Audible.com and listen on your iPod. "The God Delusion" is a fantastic book.

@Ironic Myopia - actually given your screen name, I would expect this question from you. No disrespect taken - questions are welcome.
I definitely encourage people to think. In fact, I'd be thrilled if more people were free thinkers. I'm not bashing Christianity, rather I'm pointing out hypocrisy and because I live in America, obviously Christianity is the religion that gets rammed down my throat most often. I don't say anyone is right and certainly not myself unless you want to get into things like evolution which we have hard scientific evidence for or example the Noah's Ark myth which 60% of my countrymen believe to be a fact when in fact the geological record and commonsense can in no way support it.
If someone tells me they have a personal relationship with Jesus and Jesus comforts them when things are bad, I say, "Okay". I would never say, "You are WRONG, JESUS IS A MYTH!" I would never take away someone's experience, instead those are acknowledged. My goal is not to convert anyone to my point of view, I'm just telling my point of view and if it does indeed make someone look at their religion objectively with logic instead of faith for once, hey, that's not a bad thing.

@Ironic - you don't have to apologize for having an opinion. Just have it. LOL... You would not believe the amount of emails in my inbox every single day from people who really aren't comfortable with the Bible but they fear repercussions from even appearing anything less than faithful. Actually, I did a different post that leads to another conclusion completely, since evolution is proven through DNA and fossil records beyond a shadow of a doubt, this means no Adam and Eve, which means no original sin, no Fall of Man and indeed if Jesus actually did exist, he died for nothing, which really lends a strong line to this Bronze Age story really just being a myth. Like Zeus and like others before it. Of course you can link!
