Religulous was a great documentary. I love how Bill Maher has shifted from yes to maybe to no to NO.

Yeah, now he just says, "No". LOL.....

Bill Maher is not a Christian and what do you expect from a non-Christian. Only trampling on the Bible. Why do we put down the things that we don't know nothing about down? Speaking in tongue is gift from God, to help His gospel preaching. For example, I go to Germany and I don't speak any German, now God can intervene making me able to communicate with my audience. This has happened in many cases. There are lot of preaches who can testify that after sermons they have been approached by elderly people inquiring of them where they have learn this old words or this specific dialect. These preachers understood it was the power of God working.

Now there are certain people who go about saying that if you don't speak in tongues , you will not be saved or you are not really born again etc... This is unbiblical. The Bible does not teach that.

Now about those Hollywood scoffers. Did you know they believe in the Devil. Even the name Hollywood give them away. If you look into their into their closets you will be surprised to see what they are worshiping. If they told you they are liberals, free-thinkers, etc.. don't believe them they are worshiping something.
You don't believe me! Be brave and do your own research. Don't just believe anything I say. Find out for yourself. But braced yourself for the unexpected.

@Gerald - thank you for your comment. Your comment about being able to communicate in German (for example) even though you don't know the language I find fascinating.
I think claiming knowledge for what people believe in Hollywood, I'd like to know how you back that up. I'd believe a few other things were in Lindsey Lohan's closet (for example) before I believed "the Devil" was there. But all in all, I like your comment. Cool angle to view things from.

@Lisa - good thoughts again. Now you know my personal beliefs are God, Jesus ...et al are myths. BUT I do not discount any single person's beliefs and in fact am very interested and appreciative when people share. I draw the line when someone gets offended I don't believe like they do because as I honor someone's right to believe different from me, they should do the same. I think that's awesome you found a rock in your faith and it's helped you grow and become the person you want to be. :)

@Mary - No apologies necessary. You're entitled to your passionate opinion - I actually shouldn't have taken exception to it. You ARE a passionate person so that's actually very cool you feel that way :) .

I don't believe in speaking in tongues. I've seen it and it doesn't ring true for me. Simply because I don't believe in it doesn't mean it should take anything away from anyone else's experience.

I'm not hear to change anyone's mind - that's so far from my mission. I just want other points of view. It's MUCH more fun to hear from someone who is a passionate believer about why they believe instead of discussing aspects of theology with other atheists.
