"Under God" Removed From the Pledge Of Allegiance?

Harry Reid Omits "Under God" While Citing Pledge Of Allegiance

I realize historically he was saying it as it was originally written ("Under God" was added around 1954)

Think it's a trend?

Should "God" be included in government proceedings or is that walking into the territory of separation of Church and State in your opinion? Our Founding Fathers were definitely Diests, not Theists so they didn't intend for there to any combining of Church and State. Personally, I want God off the money, out of the Government and kept tucked away in the churches (who should be paying taxes) where it belongs.

I was a little amazed to read so many comments on this article at CNN with people just SCREAMING how Reid's omission of "god" in the pledge was basically going to bring down the country.
