Why Dating Your Boss is a Bad Idea

Stupid question, really.Work is one aspect of your life. Dating is another.

Most people look at these two as the two sides of a coin, as mutually exclusive, and that’s the way it should be. Think of the last time you called in sick at work just so that you could go pick up a friend from the airport. Now, if you were dating your boss and she was at all good at her work, she might resent your absence from work, don’t you think?

Don’t believe me? Well, then, let me spell it out for you. You shouldn’t date your boss because:

1. Women bosses let the power get to their heads

Listen, take it from a woman–often, women make unreasonable, demanding,manipulative bosses. A woman is all nice and normal while her designation says ‘employee’. Promote her to manager and she becomes a super bi**h. After all, if she doesn’t lord it over the hoi polloi now, when next will she get the chance? Yes, she might take to you, she might even come on extra strong, but that’s only because she knows that she has the upper hand. Unless you like being the toy boy and metaphorically tied to the bedposts, don’t date a woman boss.
