IF THESE ARE THE COMMENTS THAT I AM READING , I CAN'T HELP BUT TO CONCLUDE THAT THEY DID NOT READ THE BLOG, THEY JUST WANT TO PLEASE THE BLOGGER THAT THEY DID. MAYBE THEY ARE APT FOR THE EARNINGS.

I LIKE YOUR VIEWS HERE AND I BELIEVE THAT MORE THAN THE EARNINGS, IT'S THE KNOWLEDGE WE GET FROM READING VARIOUS BLOGS THAT ARE MORE IMPORTANT AND THE FRIENDSHIP THAT IS BUILDING UP HERE IN FAN BOX.

Hello Meliha! Exactly and I think it's wonderful when someone who doesn't have English as a first language becomes my friend or fan and leave a comment or posts a blog of their own in English - that's awesome :)

JoLynn, I really do read so many blogs on FanBox...and your on target...I am guilty of the short comment or acronym to highlight the fact I was on someone's blog....I am now commenting on the content from now on and not just letting them know I was there...Good lesson for us all. Thanks.

Good post JoLynn...it never bothers me when people say nice post or great, but I have had a few that were just down right rude. I feel like if you want to leave a comment and didn't really enjoy the post, do it constructively. Don't be rude!

I don't mind so much on blog comments like "good post" or "thanks" or any of that. The ones that bother me are the down right spam comments. Those are the comments where the commenter is simply there to grab attention to their links, blogs, etc. You know those posts..."come look at my...." or " good post...now if you are interested in abc (totally irrelevant to your blog post) come look at....".

They are not there to support the blogger or network, connect, etc.

Comments like "nice post" are just that. The commenter stating their opinion on your post. It's an opening for a friendship in my opinion. But if they follow it with a link to their website, then I would question their intentions. :-)

In any case, comments can also use the translators! You have read, and I know not earn it, for instance, in the French language! And then, the comments-This is the first thought after reading! Immediately! Then she lost!

hello Miss Jo...I totally agree with your points of view, when i first step here i often leave those simple comments until such time i've noticed what was the importance of leaving comments is based from what your understanding in a particular post ...thank so much for sharing

Anyway, I don't support the idea of returning a rude comment to such comments as you talked about. but like Aliah said it's instructive that one's comments should reflect one's understanding and perception plus his/her view about the topic. i'll always say that that's why we are a community. without constructive criticisms and well-founded observations about a post, how can we learn, how can we improve how can we, how can we....? How can we get an informed feed-back?

Sometimes I don't care about their comments but I only hate those spammers on the comment section. I must admit I have a hard time writing my comments especially if we have the same views on the topic. It's like copying the same comments but if that's what my head is dictating me to write because that's my opinion, observations or my feelings about the post then I could also leave the same comments like using the popular comments; Nice, Good, Great, etc.

language barriers is the main concern on this commenting activities.Also for me,i'm not bothered when i receive a comment of "nice post,good job" or those short words of appreciation. i still think that they've read my blogs.
It's just that they can't freely express their thoughts in English,maybe they are afraid that they might communicate the wrong message instead.And for too many blog posts to read and leave a comment,maybe they run out of words to say.
Or they're just the type of people who are not fond of exchanging thoughts.So,they might as well leave a 2 to 3 words of comment :)
Being here on fanbox,reading blog posts is "no brainer". It's for fun right? :) I hope everyone learns to appreciate each other for the time spent,interest of visiting your page,leaving a note. :) mwah!

If someone come to my post and didn't read it , again I don't get sad ....people read what they like ...we cant force them to read what they don't like .
And YES , English isn't everyone's first language ....I like that :)
