I work with clients every single day that make a living blogging or having microniche sites online. I do it too and I'm here to tell you, it is very possible to make money online and I'm going to share with you what I've learned and seen changes in over the past 10 years. I am not here to promote any guide or methods (actually I blast the garbage people are being sold on another site http://www.hitablog.com if you're interested in brutally honest reviews).

Everything I am about to tell you is freely shared information and I hope you use it. I'll add a new post every few days until we get to the end of our little making money online journey together.

In the Beginning...
In this series of articles, I am going to show you several ways to make money online and also we’re going to talk about things that don’t work and basically waste your time.

I’m going to show you how to make money online by promoting niche products, by creating sites that have value and you can also use them to show Adsense ads for additional advertising dollars. Yes, Adsense is still viable, maybe not as much as it once was but if you can get a few hundred dollars a month for pretty much zero effort on your part, are you going to turn it down? Of course not!

I'm not going to show you how to set up an autoblog because those basically just put garbage on the Internet. I own a writing company and I am very committed to seeing good content on website - not more recycled, rehashed garbage.

PLR articles (Private Label Rights) are a huge, let me stress HUGE business. I made a ton of money selling them on my website Keyword Content (http://www.keywordcontent.net). In a nutshell, PLR articles are the same article sold anywhere from 10 to 500 times. The person buying the article will usually run it through a content spinner which slightly changes and rearranges the wording on the article making it somewhat unique. I started having pangs of guilt about contributing to the lack of good content online so I stopped - my company creates the only uPLR (unique PLR) and we sell those now. They are single sale articles that the buyer is purchasing private label rights to. We all win that way.

I’m not going to waste your time, you need to bring some basic skills to the table for this to work.
You need to be able to follow directions, you need to be able to set up a Wordpress blog (oh come on, if you can read you have all the technical skills you need to create a Wordpress blog) and install some necessary Wordpress blog plug ins (or have an understanding friend willing to help you) and you must be able to stick with this. If you can do that, you have everything you need to go forward and make money online.

If You’re Ready to Start Making Real Money Online, Stop Doing This:

You’re reading this because you want to make money online, you KNOW there’s money out there and why isn’t it landing in your bank account?
I’ll tell you why and here are the most common reasons:
You’re not focused with a clear picture of what you’re really supposed to be doing.
You’re constantly changing what you do to implement the “next big thing you read in a guide”.

You keep buying guide after guide and you feel overwhelmed and unable to do anything.
You aren’t sticking with a plan once you start.

Any of these ring true for you?
You’re not alone.

First of all, stop buying guides from Gurus.
These people get together and map out who is hyping what months in advance. There are plenty of JV forums out there, you can see for yourself. Next time you get an email from XYZ guru telling you that you need whatever they are hyping, put your credit card away and delete the email.
The truth is, there is no easy money system. The secret loophole doesn’t exist anymore than Santa Claus and the ToothFairy.

There is no software that will bring you money. There I said it.
Do you seriously think it would be sold for $47 a head online if there really was?  Stop believing these sales pages. They are called “sales pages” for a reason - they want to sell you something!

Most of the income you see reported on these pages is either Photoshopped or if it’s legit, it didn’t come from any software, loophole exploiting system or secret code. It came from selling people just like you guides in JV partnerships. 9 times out of 10 that’s what you’re seeing. It’s not because some “system” they developed works so well, it’s because they jumped on a bandwagon and promoted a program that a ton of people bought.

Now, don’t be demoralized or feel let down - it is possible to make money online and I’m going to show you several ways to do it.

We’re going to cover Adsense, affiliate marketing products (Clickbank), Amazon and how to sell space on your own websites. This is so you have several streams of income so if say, Adsense is way down one month, you’ll still have money coming in from Clickbank sales, Amazon sales and advertising revenue. I’m also going to tell you how to make money as a writer online. Yet another way to bring the green in.

The end result will be that you will know how to make money online and you won’t get suckered in by any more false “clicks to riches” claims. You’ll know the methods that work and nothing else besides those methods work to bring in a steady stream of cash once they start rockin’.

Hey JoLynn, I've been reading this series of articles and wondering a couple things...

I've seen several places that keyword optimization of 4-6% is best and beyond that Google thinks a website is spamming the search engine so it ignores it. Have you heard that too?

Because if say I were to write a dozen articles on say coffee roasters, the term would show up more than 6% of the time and I would be deemed a spammer.

Would you register a new domain name for each overall topic or do you include everything in one and branch off that site?

Did I say I signed up with Clickbank. I really want to get something going.

Wow sorry Smartest, I totally missed your comment. The 4% keyword rate is calculated per page not entire site - also it really doesn't apply. I've found Google wants natural looking, informational articles that offer something to your visitors. There are ways to ensure your site looks like that, even if you use bought PLR content. I'll cover it more in an upcoming article, but using the related searches feature on Google and a couple of other tools Google gives you - you really can't go wrong. I think using a keyword 4% of a 350 word article would look spammy as hell and a little mentally impaired because you would have to use it so much. A good rule of thumb is use the exact keyword phrase in the title, the opening sentence, the closing sentence and let it occur as would be natural within the article.
