What a terrible experience for all ..prayers go out to the mother and the family of the girl and her step father.

I was so horrified when I read this story...what a tragedy...

YES HOW CAN U IMAGINE TO HEAR YOU CHILD IN HER AGONY, SHE EVEN CAN HEAR THE BITE OF OR MAYBE BREAKING BONES WHILE THE BEAR EATING THE CHILD, SO SCARY NEWS.

What a horrible thing for anyone to have to experience...that poor mother but what an amazing daughter to continue to contact her mother and to be able to say your final I love you...heartbreaking~

A very terrifying& shocking news. i just can't imagine how painful for the mother to hear her child screaming in fright and in pain. And how good is the daughter when she told her mother it is no longer hurting, so the mother would not be worried? A very tragic death. Thank you for sharing this.

The event described above is one of the most tragic and agonizing way for a parent to lose a child at her prime, adding extra shock for us who cannot even imagine about the terror and pain the poor girl had to suffer.
Nevertheless, it would be worthwhile raising the question: How could they go camping to such a dangerous area? Did the authorities in charge of the protection of people living there, or visiting the area, placed easily visible warning signs around it?
Or was it bear-territory in the first place where the animals are not fed like the ones living peacefully in a zoological garden, and the mother bear even went back for her cubs as soon, as she found food? For bears living in the wilderness, people wandering around, obviously seem to be a good source of nutrition, especially when they have young cubs to feed, like unfortunate swimmers are not the enemy, but food-source for sharks.
I feel deep sympathy towards the poor woman who had to lose two family members, probably, the closest to her, among such horrifying circumstances. It is understandable that the adult bear was killed, as she might have done it again on purpose after tasting human flesh, but why was it necessary to eliminate the innocent cubs, too?

Yeah it really heart breaking to everyone specially to the mother who are listening to her helpless daughter... Sometimes things happen and we don't even understand and it's hard to accept it.

Good post, very sad experience, I can not picture the scene, but some how, God give the strength not to have pain anymore and say good bye to her mom using her Cell.
