* Arlene * helps shelters for abused women and children.

I am often asked to describe the experience of raising a child with a disability -- to try to help people who have not shared the unique experience to understand it, to imagine how it would feel.  It's like this. . .

Cute, but very true. Make good with what is thrown at you and you will walk away with wonderful and exciting memories.

I have a son with epilepsy and Aspergers which is mild autism and although the story is alright the good moments make up for any problems my son is an awesome kid and understands his disability better then his mother does. So I think parents with kids with disabilities are blessed and chosen!

Arlene that was an interesting story and I had to go back to see where the baby part came into the picture. I had to think on that for a minute. Anticipation on babies arrival just like the anticipation of going to Italy and landing in another country. I get the concept now! Great story. Blessings

My sister gave me that poem after my son was borne. Loved it then and still do. Holland is a beautiful place. I have another one that always got me through the hardest of times. It had no titele and no author, but I called it Why Me? I will have to post it.

I too ended up in Holland and will forever appreciate its beauty, especially as I caught a glimpse of Italy, just to have it taken away.
