Do Mommies Sleep?

by Power User Jenny Lee on September 20, 2011

Do mommies sleep?

Answer: No lol

Okay of course we have to sleep but I never feel I really sleep. It seems like I have my ear to the ground the whole time waiting to hear movement in my house to let my know my children are awake.

I lay there thinking of all the things that I could be getting done instead of laying there.  So many times I have gotten back out of bed

I´m a mother too, I have a little girl (22 months) but she´s making as 5 LOL! I always think what´s best for her, what she will eat today, what clothes she will wear, how should I make all to be good, what blogs should I make, it´s complicated to be a mom but...it´s wonderful, especially when she put her arms around me and tels me: ¨Mommy I love youuuuuu¨. I can write here many things but...I´ll make a post about it. Thank you Jenny!

This is SOOO true! You always have your ears open waiting for your baby to make a sound and you wake up as soon as you hear the smallest sound!!! A mommy's mind never turns off....I was out the other night at a concert and I couldn't turn my brain off...thinking about all kinds of things to do!!!! I totally relate! ;)

When my kids were little we lived across the street from the fire department in a large city. I could sleep through storms, sirens and airplanes, but the minute my child coughed I was awake. It may take a few years of training, but once they have grown you can teach yourself to sleep until the alarm goes off again.

I agree with you Jenny-- 100%...I have a toddler and a grade-schooler and 24 hours seem to be not enough to have everything prepared for both of them. Being a full-time mom is indeed a full-time job :-)..reading your post made me smile..thanks for sharing.

Hats off to all the Moms - I know for sure, I can never payback for even one feed of breastmilk that I consumed from my Momma. Thats why I will do everything for her, as long as God keeps her with us.

Thats really odd Jenny , why won't you sleep , taking care of the child is an essential one but taking care of us is also a necessary one ...
