Nicely written but your not leaving any room for Science that has discovered so much about the age of this universe,,For example Australian Aborigonals where here 35.000 years before Jesus,,and the Bible only refers to a small part of this world and the events surrounding it,,, I,m surprized that Jesus was so great and could perform miracles,, yet couldn,t read or write and never wrote one word of the Bible,,, also nobody has a clue as to when the Bible was started or finished or any of the names of the authors...If it was the true word of God,, why were there the new and old testaments and Kings James versions and altered versions etc,,Surely God would simply have one version commanded and written in an acceptable time frame,,not over 1000 years where so many people had a go at it..You say that we should live by the bibles teachings..??..I,d love to.. but under Australian Law if i follow the bible as written then i,ll end up inJail...you say to read the old and new testaments and everything connected...Well,, i never hear the Pope or Preachers read the violence that is in the bible... they only read carefully selected parts in their sermons... never the violence,, especially against women.. I don,t feel the Bible are the words of a loving God...For me the Bible story was written by people in a particular time with the thinking of the life that those people led....Today when we look back in time we would consider those people uneducated ..May i ask you why in this modern world all miracles have stopped.?? People no longer live to be 900 years old..?? or seas don,t open,,People don,t get spat out of whale,s mouths.or rise to heaven infront of people....I don,t believe this earth is 5 or 6 thousand years old..It can,t be proven by the bible,, neither can anything else....neither Science or the Bible knows how we were created yet....We will one day..I,d like to see all the violence removed from the Bible and it be rewritten so it is acceptable for children to read..Nice Post.. i,m just giving a balanced view,,especially because so many Christians read the Bible in so many ways and try to divide the people in so many churches,, like Harold Camping of family Radio in America who has made his 3rd predictions according to his readings from the bible that the day of Rapture will hit us on the 21st of October 2011..THIS YEAR..Yes folks..another bible student that reads The word of God,,Your Holy Bible..!1
