Find Out Your Animal Sign

By Rory Boland

Chinese New Year Animals – Just like western horoscopes, Chinese horoscopes are based on the movements of the stars and other celestial bodies and believed to be able to predict everything from what sort of love life you’ll have to what color your lucky underpants should be. There are 12 animal zodiac signs in the Chinese New year zodiac with each year ruled by a single sign. To find out which Chinese zodiac sign you are, match your birth date the animal. We’ll also tell you what the stars say about your personality; the good, the bad and the ugly

1. Rat

Birth Years for the Rat Zodiac Sign: 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996

Determined and ambitious, rats are hungry for success and relentless in achieving their goals. Their intelligence means they have the ability to go far but they can be hot headed in the face of difficulties and obstacles, leading to conflict. Their charm and confidence means they have few problems attracting the opposite sex, but longer term relationships can be more challenging because of their unwillingness to compromise. They do not like to share.

2. Cow

Birth Years for the Cow Zodiac Sign: 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997

Patient, reliable and loyal, cows are happiest when their life and relationships are stable. They tend to form strong and long lasting friendships and often have a small but solid circle of friends. While usually relaxed, cows can be apprehensive of change and this fear can make them sensitive to criticism and unwilling to accept other people’s opinions.

3. Tiger

Birth Years for the Tiger Zodiac Sign: 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998

Passionate about life, Tigers tend to act before they think and throw all their energies into every situation headlong. Supremely confident, they breed confidence in those around them and are natural born leaders and great orators. But their hot and cold emotions mean they are easily bored and change their mind and opinions frequently. They warm to people quickly and usually have a wide circle of friends, but can often be too easily influenced.
