One People In God

 One People In God

My church recently experienced a change of pastors.  The new pastor’s battle cry is LAF – Love, Acceptance and Forgiveness. It is his belief that we should love people into God’s Kingdom, accept them for who they are (not condoning sin) and be ready to forgive. This belief is actually similar to that of our former pastor.

What is interesting about the new pastor is that he has a track record for building a huge church based on his belief. However, what is even more interesting is that he has taken a lot of criticism for “wanting anybody” to attend his church.

Can you believe that? Our new pastor has built a church of all colors and ethnicities and has been criticized for it.  Someone actually remarked that it appeared that he would “accept anyone into his church.” His reply was, “Yes.”

This is so true, not only in color but also in society and attitude, we all have to learn to love one another and forgive because Jesus died for all our sins. very good post

Rightly Said..... Color doesn't matters its the inner person that matters ...& what is Christianity all about, its nothing but to walk in Christ-way..i.e We being Christians may not Die how Jesus died for our sins but at least we should respect what Jesus has done for us all and that is nothing but to LOVE Each One as Himself. The person who don't love Others (be it due to Color OR a sinner) he doesn't love.himself. And what if he doesn't love himself, he doesn't love God B'cuz our Body is the Church of God & what use it is to built big-big churches when a person don't have God In himself. I Hope the Whole Man-Kind May Understand Our Lord JESUS CHRIST THE RIGHT WAY????

We are all sinners.....To me , being a Christian means- I Know I am a sinner and I know I need GOD. Church is for All People and we all are to mold ourselves after God , who as you said, IS L O V E. It is way past time for all of us to LOVE and Respect each other regardless of race. We are all Gods people. It is through our love , acceptance and prayer that others learn and come to Church , hear the word of God, eventually start to read the word of God and then Faith enters the picture ! They Learn to Love and have Faith in God. Your Pastor could not be more RIGHT. God Bless You and Thank You for sharing....

I agree with what you have shared Peter, if we cannot see each other eye to eye, and can not love one another on this earth which is temporary, how can we be together in heaven eternally? If we can not love someone whom we can see around us, how can we love God whom we cannot see? I love this post Peter, and I am going to boost it.

Thank you Peter.
Th love of God runs deep.
Yes, there are differences. He made it so and said it is good!
He wants unity in diversity. That's the beauty of His creation. The sun, moon, star,...beauties of the different landscapes,... and all His creations were made for His Glory. He wants unity and not necessarily uniformity. And when we sort ourselves into classes and groups we go against His ultimate plan. May we love the way He does love us all.
Thanks once again reminding us this important truth.
