why ad credit is nothing use?

This is all very exciting stuff! Products & Services is just another revolutionary and awesome part of what FanBox is all about....

My concern is with the need to adjust my price to wait for the earnings, I can get my earnings from my products immediately if I sell through other sites. And the cost for my clientele is less, because the product isn't getting a 30% mark up. So I would either need to reduce my add 30% for everything I list elsewhere, or cut the money I would get to list the item on FanBox at the same price.

When you post on FanBox, people will build Ads for you, and others will fund them. Even others will blog about your products and services.

On other sites, that will not happen. So if you want to sell your products or services on other sites, you still need to worry about how to promote them.

Let's not forget that listing a product is one part of the equation. How will you get marketing?

Instead of receiving 70% of the retail price, do you want 100% of the retail price?

Guess what? You can do that!!

HERE'S HOW:

By promoting your own items (and funding your own Ads), you're not only the provider, but you're also the Promoter and the Booster, so you earn 70% (Provider) + 6% (Promoter) + 24% (Booster) -- so you're making 100% of the sale!

(The community gets zero and FanBox is paying the PayPal or credit card fees for your buyer to pay).

i see what you are saying, however how do i justify charging FanBox members 30% more just because they ar FanBox members. Especially when i have been advertising and growing my business for ten years.

Also after 10 years of doing this I have learned (through market data), that the price I ask for my products, is the highest price they will sell for, and not so low that I am not earning a profit. Ergo a 30% markup means I will be spending my time(money), to list something that isnt going to sell unless I am willing to drop my list price 30%, at which point I will not be making any money.

Then there is the fact that I have to wait 90 days to receive my earnings. I have to cover all the upfront costs and will not see any compensation on it for three months.

I am not trying to rain on the parade here, but these are serious concerns I have as a small business owner.

@April: Yes, that is coming too - probably within a couple of weeks.

@Karl: Of course I am not familiar with your particular business, but the typical business spends 25-50% of their revenues on marketing. That's why companies spend $300 Billion on ads in the United States each year.

And yes, of course those companies have to mark up their services to pay for marketing. if the pricing for your products and services does not allow for marketing costs, then you need to find ways to sell your stuff without marketing.

As a place thats focused on creating earning opportunities for member, FanBox is a good place for people looking to sell their goods that can afford to pay the community for marketing their stuff. If they don't need the marketing or their pricing can't support it, then I agree that maybe FanBox isn't the place for them to sell their goods.

There are lots of web sites that allow you to sell your stuff - but most of which only allow you to promote your stuff there if you pay for ads and marketing. Example: Google. Facebook. Yahoo. etc.

I do understand your point about maturation and waiting for your money that you need to pay for production of your goods or services. I'll have an answer to that shortly.

IE: I believe FanBox will offer faster maturation for bonafide providers that intend to do many transactions. Stay tuned!

One more thing: In the near future, as the Provider you WILL be able to set what % of the retail price you're willing to share with the Promoter, Booster, etc. That should address your concern. :)

Thank you for the more definitive answer. I am not the type to jump in head first blindly. Especially where my business is concerned. Now that i know this i am feeling a touch more at ease, though without further data on the reduced maturation rate possibillites, I will be offering very limited items. As for many custom pieces i have to spend almost $70 in materials just to start the project.

Also with the limiting of what others get I should be able to bring prices down to match what they are where I sell elsewhere on the internet.

Its too good to have Product & Services operational but still lot of things are left to cover to facilitate the community. Its SC obligatory duty now to get involve their clients in this new era of earning by providing them best kind of knowledge so that every one can get out of it.

One of seniors SC has to step into blogging on Product & Services (free for all) for community ease so that every single individual can understand and overcome his /her own loopholes and can apply the logic to get maximum, ultimately main cause for being community members and what really FanBox community is meant for, only to help others by guiding and serving best possible opportunities to kick out your worries and to bring happiness inside.

Hi, yes I have a question. I am an affilitate for an Authorized Dish Network Provider. I earn commissions for Dish Installations. I can't really charge for the service on FanBox. Will I still be able to advertise my site as a Provider, but not charge anyone? Thanks!
