Secrets to making money on FanBox

New Product Feature Announcements

Hi everyone,

Some new features are being rolled out!
 

1) Maximize my Ads earnings

Many of you have been saying that its frustrating when your Ads don't get clicks, and not all of your daily Ad budget (on one or more of your Ads) is utilized. 

Now, you'll have a feature that allows you to maximize your earnings, by instructing the FanBox algorithms to go ahead and utilize the portion of your Ad's daily budget that was not utilized by your Ad on that day.

For example, let's say that one of your Ads has a daily budget of $10. And let's say that tomorrow, at the end of the day, only $8 of your $10 daily budget was utilized (because it did not get enough clicks by the end of the day).

This means that $2 of your daily budget did not go to work for you.

This new feature will allow you to instruct the algorithms to use the $2 to fund other people's Ads that got clicks but needed funding. (Sort of like the Knowledge Investor product does).

It works just like if you had used Knowledge Investor, except that your money was first held to fund your own Ads -- and only if all of it could not be utilized for your own Ads, the remaining portion was used to maximize your earnings by funding other people's Ads.

When I say it's like using Knowledge Investor, I mean its like creating an Investment Portfolio that has the basic settings selected, such as "Simple" for "Who or what you want to invest in"; and "I want FanBox to control this" for your minimum return requirement.

The bottom line is that this simple feature should only increase your earnings (by making your money work for you instead of just sitting there) so I don't see a downside to using it. 

The feature can be turned off or on for each Ad individually, so if you prefer, you can use it for some Ads and not for others. 

If you don't want to use it for any of your Ads, simply check it to "off" from that Ad's settings, as it is defaulted to "on" for all your Ads.

I have a feeling you'll love this feature!

2) Cash out date

As you may remember, a earlier this year cash outs used to happen on the last day of every month. Then, a software bug caused cash outs to start happening on the 27th.

Well, the bug went into the long list of things that needed engineering to fix, and was forgotten.

(Between you, me and the fence post, when we noticed that people actually enjoyed this bug, we purposely kept pushing it lower and lower on the bug list). :)

Well, I just got word from engineering that the bug's number came up and the bug has been fixed. This means that cash outs will beginning happening on the last day of every month -- meaning anywhere between the 28th and the 31st -- depending on how many days that month has.

3) New Homepage

Many people have expressed difficulty in helping their friends quickly understand what FanBox is all about, and how their friends can become active in the Knowledge Economy.

To make that a little easier, we're launching a new homepage for the site. Check it out when you get a chance. Simply sign out of FanBox and you will be automatically directed there - or when you tell your friends to visit FanBox.com and they will see it immediately.

4) Auto-reinvesting your earnings from your Investments

Recently, in order to reduce confusion, FanBox took away the check box in your Investment Portfolios that allowed you to automatically re-invest your earnings (after they matured, of course).

You communicated your dissatisfaction with that action, and now it's back. (Thanks for your comments).

As before, if you want your proceeds (after they mature) automatically re-invested for any of your portfolios (with the same criteria as your original investment in that portfolio) you'll want the check box to be checked.

And if you don't want your proceeds on any of your portfolios to be re-invested, of course turn it off for those portfolios.

So, when will these features be live?

Gosh darn it -- I have got to give a big, HUGE shout-out to the amazing FanBox engineering team!!

They are working away RIGHT NOW... late into Saturday night -- on Thansgiving weekend -- to bring you these features!!!

These guys and girls have been sacrificing their lives like this FOR YEARS for the community members... I wish every one of you could come down and meet them.. they are simply the most selfless, humble and giving human beings I have ever met in my entire life!

The team has also been working on more new features, such as a Genie to help you figure out which posts to Categorize and Rate, and which posts to build Ads for.

The Genie will also track how many posts you built Ads for, or categorized and rated, so you can set -- and hit -- goals!

They're also working to open up language support, so you can launch Ads in your local language, and Success Coaches can approve those Ads in your local language.

This is a really exciting feature because it will make it so that you don't have to speak perfect English to be a Success Coach... yay!!! :)

I don't have a date yet for these features, but they are hopefully no more than a few weeks away.
