Yeah, I totally agree with Jenny. I really don't need to see people's email addresses or comments of things that don't make sense. Although Fanbox has cleaned up a lot of the nude pictures, I am still seeing pictures come through on people's fan pages. Putting rude, lewd, and degrading comments/remarks are also unacceptable.

One rule... If you think you shouldn’t then don’t.

I've only been here a month, but I've seen massive improvements in that short time. The freaks looking for dates has lessened considerably and the hookers posting photos (Lorri's description of "mutton dressed as lamb" had me in the floor laughing) has also gone way down.

My only humble request would be that there be a comment console (a la Wordpress for example) or someway to get notified when there are new comments on posts. I get maybe, just maybe one notification out of say, 25 comments. To be able to clean up "let's chat on cam" comments or off topic comments as well as respond to comments in one place for all one's blogs would just rule.

I agree that I think things have been improving just during the few months I have been here and I haven't been seeing as many offensive remarks as I did when I first joined. And I agree also that if you are just looking for socialization/conversation or wanting to flirt with people that you shouldn't be doing this in the review section of people's blogs. Also, I do find it somewhat offensive when I am exposed to pics that I don't feel are appropriate as far as the revealing photos some people have posted, and/or the weapon-related pics.

the worst offenders are the ones who don't care about being offensive. as much as I hate captcha's, they are helpful in reducing the amount of spam and garbage that blog comments invite. the spambots and sociopaths tend to choose the easier targets.

Is Fanbox trying to become Facebook Jr. or what is Fanbox trying to do right now? There are dozens of social networking sites, so is Fanbox's "new" niche blogging... OR is there something else in addition to blogging that Fanbox is trying to do as a whole?

I was a serious contributor on Yahoo answers for about a year. I became so infuriated by the spam and malware responses posted on the site that I quit.

I also dislike someone trying to hijack a discussion by asking off-topic questions or presenting their unrelated personal issues in the thread. Sometimes the comment is so far off-base that everyone just has to get past it however they are able.

Authenticity (truth/soul) in posts and comments, Mutuality (encouragement for others), Sympathy (support), Honesty, Courtesy (respect differences, being considerate), & the Frequency of all these mentioned are very beneficial.

Mass PMs (for anything that isn't agreed on), commenting someones blog just to say "please visit my blog", reposting EVERYTHING all your friends post, flaming, nude pictures, mass tagging, requesting someone to post nudes, data miners, get rich quick chainletters, PM's/posts that only contain a link

How about people who wear their pants down past their butts, come on i am all for new fads but this one effects everyone. Where is manors not to many people have them any more, and one more how about treating people the way you would like to be treated if we all did these things we would be living a better life and our children might have a better chance in life.

I send a message to JC this morning after logging on and finding a picture of a woman naked on her sofa...nearly choked on my coffee..he explained that there is a report this user link. It is on the left side at the bottom of fans/friends. I am pretty sure the most of us are all enjoying Fanbox..so I have a suggestion how about if we use that link when there is a bad pic like this mornings..it also brings some pretty nasty comments...so this is our community right we are here because we love to meet new people FRIENDS and we love to BLOG..so let's try and take some responsibilty too. As for the men & women who like seeing nudity find a site that allows it and enjoy urself...as for the comments i read this morning those guys are well not so savory characters. But I will say something guys and this is from experience men who brag about the size of there tool are actually lying...so keep your filthy comments to yourselves.

Firstly, I would like to thank you for Fanbox. The blogging here is really enjoyable, educational, and rewarding indeed? I was one of those very skeptical in the beginning and now I am recommending it to my own family and friends!

Am I right that you have deleted some pictures that are not exactly obscene but is treading on dangerous grounds?
1) If so, I have deleted an obscene picture (or almost obscene), and deleted the fanboxer as a fan/friend because of that banana picture peeking through a cloth material which looked like an exposed male private part. My stomach churns.
2) How about the pictures of some sexy lady in bikini who are obviously showing off their bodies? Some are asking for readers to contact them? Obviously, they are looking for men "interested in them".
3) When I open my Home or Profile, all I see is the photo of my fan who connected with 8 or 10 fans but would cover so much my space. There is no space for other fans. PLEASE CHANGE THAT SYSTEM. IT SHOULD BE LIMITED!
4) It is best that as bloggers, we acknowledge the writer, artists or originator of the materials/articles we are using. I have no proof, but I can sense that many of the materials/articles posted are taken from the internet but the originators/writers/artists are not acknowledge. I BELIEVE WE SHOULD RECOGNIZE THAT AT THE ONSET BECAUSE IT IS UNFAIR TO THE ORIGINAL WRITER OR CREATOR.

The truth is I am loving FanBox already, but I must express my fears..... that copying from some unknown millions/billions of writers/artists/originators and posting those materials as if they are ours is tantamount to stealing/cheating.

If I may suggest, not allowing others to copy pictures, as scammers can copy and use as their own (of people) and pretend they are that person.

i agree with johny, comments must be relevant and understandable (meaningful) since rude or irrelevant comments come only when dont go through the post and just comment after seeing the title which is conventional approach and must be drastically shift since comments are hodge podge of the post and can pass the message to others as well..................thanks Johny

The spammers are increasing and the I saw your profile crap is getting old. if you saw my profile than you should notice that I am Married to my soul mate and I have kid's and I am old enough to be your daddy in fact I probably have kid's older than you so get a life!!!!!!!!
