You are right Mr. Jc, some people are tagging their meaningless pics, but their purpose is to get visitor on their blogs, many spammer are using my profile to tagged in pics, i know how to manage it and remove my links their, some members also are copying my post without any permission from me, just they copied without editing and post in their blogs and they are promoting as their own blogs and work, also they advise in their ads at least traced it and i reported to fanbox management, now the account of this member already deleted, so pls to some members use your own creativity, style and your own work to publish in your blog, do not copy from anyone's blog.

It is the same with me. I am tagged in other's pictures. Also I also don't want to see other's pictures in my profile.

good information ,but how i can block user who spamming on my message,fan feed ..i received a lot of spams..they promoted other website such as ppc program,referral programs,lottery scams,theft identity message ..when i delete it they send me again and again..until i bored to delete

For some FanBox is difficult to learn and can not handle them properly, many need help to fully understand this program. I think many of the cases reported here happen due to lack of knowledge, and it takes time to learn.

No Fansy, becoming a fan of lots of people is NOT considered spam. You can become a fan of as many people as you like.

Many of you are asking what you can do about spam? Here's a few things:

1) Report them. Visit their profile, and in the left column, under their photos of fans, there is a link "Report user". This will ensure a FanBox employee looks at their communications.

2) Remove them as Friend and/or Fan. Go to their profile and see if you are a fan of them, and/or a friend. When you remove them as a fan or friend, they can't post things to your feed, comment on your photos, tag you. etc. Remember, you have the power to stop most of their communications to you, by choosing to not be a fan or friend of theirs.

3) If they tag you in a photo, remove the tag by visiting the photo, and look for your name under it -- and next to your name, there will be a 'remove' link.

4) Never, ever, accept someone's friend request that you don't actually know from real life (not just on fanbox). That's why FanBox has both Friend and Fan relationship types. People that send you friend requests, that don't know you, should not be doing that. They should become a fan of yours, and then if you like, you can choose to become a fan of yours. When they send you a friend request, they are trying to force themselves into your life -- like when someone opens your front door and just enters into your living room. Always, when someone sends you a friend request, choose "Keep as Fan" -- and don't accept them as Friend if you have not met them in person. There is no reason to be someone's friend on FanBox - because being Fans of each other gives each of you the same powers.

We'll touch on more of this soon -- as FanBox will be rolling out some new features that will help reduce spam, as well as some new friend functionality. Cheers - and thanks for the feedback and comments, and for your interest in making this a great community.

I have 25 fans, only three friends, then let me know, so I want the fans and friends in this program, never remove them, sometimes I talk to some in the mail. And they are good people.

Here is a question for you. I have just been notified from a fan that some of my posts/blogs pictures are not showing. They were there when it was done, why is this. I am worried as I don't want to appear a fraud in getting fans to look and nothing is there. Any suggestions please!!
I will temporarily take them off while this issue is being resolved.

oh yah, It means that I have to delete everyone in my friends list because I don't meet them? It might give a hurtfull feeling. Plenty of them I have good contact with though we are not friends in real I call them as my a fanbox friends... Q does my blog be deleted if I let them stay in my friends list, funny is it?

and if ever tagging pictures might be a problem, best that fanbox should delete the tagging functions or else most of our photos was taken from yahoo, googles etc. too... which are copied

i agree with Katherine. If it is a bad thing why have the function here? I don't do the tagging thing, in fact i don't even know how it's done, and I never really knew the purpose of it. I know a couple bloggers included me in their tagging practice and at the time i just thought that them tagging me was a way of them saying they considered me a friend of theirs?

I can't understand how someone can put their picture in your album. Surely there is a security issue here. Perhaps Johhny Cash can try and look into this as well.

the best thing is "dont be a bad guy", so you don't copy what is not yours...that's it.

And if someone really really behave badly..report them to FanBox..they will proof that for you.

Thanks a lot for alerting Fanbox Users to what goes on here. Nowdays scammers are everywhere on the Nett. So when we try to get rid of them, we should be careful not to report or remove the good with the bad.

this website attracted so many scammers here why? everything sounds so fance but the site dont build it site like facebook or yahoo spam scammers ito protect its user i dont understand i feel people trying to be your friends are all fake too their comments insincere sounds the same to me that is not trying to be your friend but after something else to suit their needs and niches sad really sad

I was also been tagged in a picture and receive lots of spam messages...but I just ignored them...Fanbox knows who they are...

One time I was surprised to see someone's photo of a marketing propaganda in my profile...I asked a friend how to delete or untag it...and was able to do so. This tagging thing should be eliminated. Thanks for this informative post.
