Lara you took the words right out of my mouth w/this blog. 3 weeks ago i had 475"fans" n 77 "so called friends" i sent them all a message asking if the still wished to be on my fan/friends list now 475 + 77 = 552. i received 2 replies sayingYes.. it took me 5 hrs to send all the messages n less than 30 minutes aft the 2 weeks awaiting answer to delete alll 550 ppl. ive noe started over n told all if u wish to chat be a friend or a fan , i would appreicate hearing from u occasionally. thats not to much to ask is it ?? i dont know how to repost this to guilt 550 ppl LOL not that it would do any good. But im sure Glad that another person( YOU) said what i was feeling. ty ty ty Im Orrie n this is a 5 star Blog . Love hugs n kisses from someone that vallues courtesy n manners muaahh :)

Agreed..people add you becasue they want you to read the blogs and they inturn are to read yours..to make money. I however think making friends is important too..:) thank you for your post it is very good..:)

yes, i've wondered, in fact i just received such a request, and the reply was, because i don't have many friends. i mentioned to the person that maybe they should become a fan first, then see how it goes. most people don't want to become a friend without knowing anything about the other person.

Very good topic.
Some people start fanboxing with a huge initiative. Thats why they send massive friend request. After a few days, they loose interest and initiative. That also may be another reason of those friends being lost and never contacting further.

i dissagree, maybe he/she is not 100% online. coz of many things (bussy, tired, so cant even touch the computer again. at least you had already be friends. even most people on the leader never accept me as a friend (i sent invitation before). i dunno why? maybe coz im a newbie and i feel if im nothing for them. A true friend will not delete their friend. u cant justify like that!!!

@ burhan, i agree. as example i joint in fanbox on october last year. and i just active nowadays. so once again. U CANT JUSTIFY LIKE THAT.

Great blog post! Yet I have to disagree on some of your points, in that I too have been a long standing member of the fanbox community. I didn't decide to get active until most recently and of the four years that I've been a member only 13 people fan or befriended me. Why? The answer is simple... I was never on or around.

Secondly, Since I started to become involved inside the actual community, my friends list has grown to almost eighty and my fans are now up over 3100 in less than two months.

I looked at my friends list and I have you on it! However, when I took a gander just a few moments ago, I noticed you have me listed as only your fan. Interesting point to ponder...

As far as people getting deleted, I would never delete anyone without just cause. I look at it as a curtsey to read others post but not a you must do type of thing. Another thing, You must also consider that like with me I have a huge list of fans and friends which is growing rapidly everyday. Fanbox assigns several new fans per day to those on the 100 list and believe it or not...It does take awhile to get back to them all.

Especially when you're busy writing and commenting on others post as well as writing for numerous other sites too. So if you by chance feel that I am one of these people your tal;king about then please do remove me from your list.

I would only report people that continually spam me with links and click club invites... Now I am in no way saying your one of these people,, because if you were you would be reported and eventually removed. There's lots of ways, to get others to read your post... Just let them know that you have written yet another article and if interested they'll find their way to it.
