I Miss You

My step-grandmother was the only grandmother I ever knew. She was close to me, like a best friend. I have known her all my life and I feel like I will always know her. She was always there for me, and when she needed me, I was there as soon as I could get there.

Early in the summer, around July, she and I were in a bad car accident when an older lady came onto our side of the road. My uncle tried to miss her, but she came over and hit us head on. This broke her neck. After being in the hospital for about a week and a half, she died. This took her from me and all of my family.

There were many things left unsaid. One thing I would have told her was how much I love her and that no matter what; she will always be in my heart. I really can't remember that last thing that I said to her, but that day before all of this I had told her that I really loved her and she told me to get out of her face, but she was just joking. I never got to say good-bye to her because she died ten minutes before we got to the hospital to visit her.
