The R.H, Bill must be Passed and also sex education must be taught in schools,,, and women should be allowed abortions where necessary as in most modern countries,, rather than be butchered and bleed to death in backyard abortions as one of my friends did,,, all because of the cruel Catholic Bishops..stand on Abortion.. The Population explosion in the Philippines is Horrific and getting worse,, which simply means ,, more poverty and corruption and lack of Law and Order...The Catholic Church is responsible for the population explosion..They must Butt out of your elected Parliment ,s affairs and allow them to run the country,, otherwise the Philippines can only get poorer and cause more hardship and problems for the country......Even Divorce in the Philippines is not allowed,,, yet every other country in the world ( excluding the Vatican State ) can have divorce....No country that is run by religion prospers --there is always some kind of suffering to their people.....You cannot have Catholic Bishops running the Philippines.......There is about 30 million poor people in the Philippines living on a dollar or less per day in terrible conditions----yet the Catholic Church is saying that it,s not a problem...
You got it right on the head Mr Hogarth...That is why I wrote down this thoughts of mine because I cannot sleep thinking how much the Churches are trying to control our lives when they have a lot to clean within their backyard. Like what I said, if only they do their job, then who needs those RH Bill, and many laws of the land! The churches are the firs defense against immorality, and anything they cannot take care of, the government has to do something, or else the country will be in chaos!
Thank you again Bob....
Yes Kczar,, Just let Pnoy do his job w/out threats from the Bishops to excommunicate him from the C.C.
Pnoy was elected democratically by the people and he is doing a good job under tough circumstances.
The majority want the bill passed,, so in a democratic world you should allow the passage of the Bill.
I,m not against any Church,, but they have no mandate to govern the country so they should attend to Church business only..Our Catholic Church here doesn,t interefere with the running of our Parliment,, and we nevr would allow it....The Phil,, is my second home and i want to see it prosper again to how it used to be... Thanks kczar..
I hope the rest of our countrymen understand this so they won't let themselves be used by the blinded attitude of the church. Thank you again, Bob, you are one of the people who's ideas should be heard by confused people...
Is that right??Well sorry if I have a different perception on this issues, actually I've been thinking for a few minutes thoroughly how it goes on discussing this issue..The Church ha s great responsibility to the people specially on promoting a moral life of the people. The Church itself is the prime agent to channel moral values. But it's up to the people to catch and live with it..Bringing a great difference I think it would start from oneself.Means each one or everybody should imposs a strict discipline, to live a moral life.Morality is the foundation of every human society, without civic morality, communities perish.Without personal morality their survival has no value.Every cultures admits the importance of morality as a standard behavior. When the moral foundation of a nation is threatened that society itself is threatened.
Therefore abortion is strictly restricted and prihibited in the sense that it is violative against the natural right of a child to live. And it's a crime against life.Speaking of poverty so sad because I found out that plenty of filipinos who are very erresponsible enough...Why I said so???They have no discipline, just imagime mostly during the paid day,,when they receive their salary instead to make a wise budget they spent it to their tropa and barkadas without thinking the money left for their families. And when they reach home a great quarrel.....WE could not deny,, this is the real fact the worst fatcs..And are they blaming anybody???Blaming to the Government??They try to examine themselves thoroughly...Lastly I could say that morality is the best form of government please read on my article..Thanks for sharing SMILE,,,
Hi rosalie lumangtad, how are you? I don't know where i've been to not respond immediately to your very hearty comment. Anyway, lets go back to where we started - hmm where was it, lol...?
Since this law/bill is for our country which is known as the only Christian nation in this part of the earth, it is a shame that, again the religious leaders are failing to inculcate moral obligations to their flocks. One old man said, that since the church took over the responsibility, from the so called "irreligious" parents, the Maria Clara vanished like smoke on the air together with the strict moral standard of the Filipinos. And because the result of such failure seems to be creating bitter taste to the society the government is moved to do something - but sad to say like i said in my post is now creating a division among the filipino people.
i believe on what the people must say about this issue.... bec. it is the people themselves must know what is right for them...if they have to agree with this bill or not???
I was really asleep for long time. I can't imagine i missed your comments for 6 mos??? sorry for that!
It is always the people who decides, however, the trouble is they are not well informed. who among the common people (w/c is the majority to decide) have read the bill? or even if it is explained to them, they do not know where to air their own opinion... Thanks
"I am poor because it's my fault",,our weakness is that we blame someone else, government, churches Without realizing the fact that everything begins within,,,if you want change then try to start changing yourself.just saying..anyway nice article to be ponder about.
You're right Dhyzee that is very common to us. Everything is thrown at the government without looking towards ourselves if how did we contribute to the problems... thank you
People usually relate poverty to population, well for me that's not the case. the problem is that the gov't is not so strict to marriage law, why not impose law like to marriage to child,,,,,,that's just my own point of view
All opinion is correct but one opinion must stand out. who knows your opinion is the solution, so don't be afraid to express each time issues come up. Thank you for that, Sarah.
