If a case can be made that politicians live and die by polls, then some concern should be shown to President Obama.  His ratings are sinking faster than the Titanic sank after hitting the iceberg. It’s not just the president either. Americans are not happy with elected officials from either party. But President Obama’s poll ratings are sinking to new all time lows. The reasons are easy to discern.

The seriousness of the issue for the president is evident in the fact that many different polls have the same result. Pessimism over the general direction the country is headed seems to be the main reason with a whopping fifty–three percent of voters saying they  disapprove  of the job Mr. Obama is doing in general, according to the Washington Post.  Seventy – three percent said that the country is heading in the wrong direction.
