A poem featured in the International Who's Who in Poetry 2012

Blessed In So Many Ways

I come to gaze upon your face,
and as ever find it full of grace,
bright eyes and that impish smile,
will have me lingering here for a while...

To look into your eyes is a dream I wish to make true,

with all the passion that I hold here in my heart for you,

And as the night comes and we join together for joy,

we will know that true love for just one girl and boy...

I dare to wish that I can run my fingers through your hair,

and kiss your neck, your lips and then most everywhere...

Rhumour Of Romance

by Senator D Poet Rhumour on December 25, 2012

In this blog is a large selection of the romantic themed poems I have composed over many years - particularly those from recent times that were written on computer.  Those from earlier decades were most often written by hand and quite often on a loose page that would get tucked into a book or placed in a drawer of papers where they often laid for years before I transcribed them

In Your Warm Company

by Senator D Poet Rhumour on September 28, 2012

Autumn changes are coming at a gathering pace,
soon signs of summer will be lost without any trace,
the leaves have been falling for a few weeks now it's true,
I wonder when the trees are covered in snow, do they feel blue?

From autumn to spring can seem far too long for us to wait,
should we hibernate like

Shall I sit and think of you and me,
alone on a beach with a tropical sea
we have no needs for worldly news,
for deep in love we have other views...

We'll swim and splash and cavort with glee,
then lay and rest in the dappled shade of a tree,
where the cooler air offers time for hugs and more,
all alone in the reach of that pleasing shore...
