Coke

by Fahd Indanan on October 18, 2011

I stopped drinking Coke, Pepsi and the products made by these companies because I came to know that these drinks are harmful for our body. Later, I understand that the money these companies are earning from us, are used for evil purposes like in war against Muslims, supporting and funding Israel’s terrorist activities, making of such products which are harmful for human body and promotion of many unlawful things. Now I came to know that these products are not Halal even.

Let me prove my point!

Coca-Cola

Main ingredients of Coca-cola consists of; caffeine, water, sucrose, caramel

Haram and Harmful ingredients in Coke

color, phosphoric acid and natural flavors.

Coca Cola contains several fragrant oils, and their exact mixture is responsible for the distinctive taste of this drink, which many tried to copy but never with identical results. This secret recipe is known as Merchandise 7X.

The ‘secret recipe’

  • Fluid extract of Coca 3 drams USP
  • Citric acid 3 oz
  • Caffeine 1oz
  • Sugar 30 (it is unclear from the markings what quantity is required)
  • Water 2.5 gal
  • Lime juice 2 pints 1 qrt
  • Vanilla 1oz
  • Caramel 1.5oz or more to color
  • 7X flavor (use 2oz of flavor to 5 gals syrup):

Despite making up only 1 per cent of the drink’s total formula, Merchandise 7X is what gives the popular soft drink its unique taste.

ALCOHOL

As you can see that it contains Alcohol which is forbidden according to the Holy book of Muslims, Quran.

O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah ], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful. (Holy Quran, Chapter 5, Verse 90)

They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, “In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit.” And they ask you what they should spend. Say, “The excess [beyond needs].” Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought. (Holy Quran, Chapter 2, Verse 219)

Drinking Alcohol is also not allowed in Christianity

And be not drunk with wine.
(Ephesians 5:18)

Therefore be careful and drink no wine or strong drink, and eat nothing unclean, (Judges 13:4)

CARAMEL COLORINGS
Now talking about the Caramel colorings used in PEPSI and COCA-COLA, studies show that the caramel coloring ingredient used can cause cancer. According to the study of Michael F. Jacobson, Ph.D., Executive Director, Center for Science in the Public Interest there are four different types of caramel coloring that are used as additives in certain beverages.

  1. Simply made by melting and browning sugar, thus creating a caramel color.
  2. By reacting of sugar with sulfites.
  3. By reacting sugars with ammonium compounds.
  4.  Sugars are reacted with both ammonium and sulfite compounds. Both the regulations and some manufacturers’ Web sites call this form of caramel coloring Caramel IV, or less appetizingly, ammonia-sulfite process caramel.

Reacting sugars with ammonia results in the formation of numerous chemical by products. Two of them, 2-methylimidazole and 4-methylimidazole, have been shown in government studies to promote lung, liver, and thyroid tumors in laboratory rats and mice. California public health officials recently placed 4-methylimidazole on the state’s list of known carcinogens (an agent directly involved in causing cancer).

CAFFEINE

The fact that caffeine is a drug cannot be denied. It stimulates the central nervous system. At lower levels, it can make people feel more alert and energetic, but once a certain level of caffeine consumption is reached, and the person is dependent. The caffeine added in soft drinks, only creates an addiction to the drink.
