THE UNPERTURBED TOAD


It was Saturday 13 June, 2009. The time of the day I can’t remember. I sat on visitors’ seat with my hands akimbo. It was in my office. The chairs are set facing the entrance to the café. I was looking straight, my mind wandered blankly. It was a conscious effort to put off the load on my mind, to reduce the tension and quiet the pains in my head.
