Do you remember when you discovered your first passion? Was it a passion for sports, playing an instrument, movies, etc? I remember this moment in my life as if it were just yesterday.

If you did get a chance to read my story on how I first arrived in the US, you know that it was a traumatic experience for me. But as I grew older, I realized that everything happens for a reason. So when I traveled back home to the Philippines for the first time, it was one of the most memorable trips of my life.

Do you remember the first time you realized what you wanted to be when you grew up? Perhaps you were playing "Operation" when you realized you wanted to become a doctor. Or maybe you saw someone you admired in a movie and decided you wanted to become a Hollywood actress? I wanted to share my personal story of how I first discovered the path I was destined to be on.

As a child, you perceive the world so differently than as an adult. Everything is viewed as an adventure. Something as simple as going to the zoo or tasting ice cream for the first time is seen as an adventure through a child's eyes. Do you recall your first "grand adventure" as a child? I do and it changed me.

Saying "goodbye" is never an easy thing to do. When you are young you say "goodbye" to many things: familiar places, your innocence, friends, and your childhood. In my life, I've had to say "goodbye" many times, but there was a particular moment when saying "goodbye" meant saying "hello" to a whole new life.
