We all have started new fitness programs only to fall off track about a couple weeks into the program. Let’s take a look at ways to stay on track and achieve our fitness goals.

#1 Make The Decision to Stick with Fitness Plan

Before you even develop any kind of fitness plan you need to decide you will stay with the plan. The problem: we are taught in school and in the business world is we need to have a plan before you begin. We spend all our time thinking and designing plans, but doing very little.

The first part of a fitness program is to stay with the program. With that decision made you can now design the plan.

#2 Design Workout Plan

You try to eat right, but the number on the scale keeps creeping up. Sound familiar? According to a survey by the International Food Information Council Foundation, we eat a lot more than we should. Of 1,000 Americans polled -- about half of them women -- 43 percent couldn't even guess how many calories they should consume in a day

"So many women are eating on the run," says Barbara J. Rolls, PhD, a professor of nutrition at Pennsylvania State University and author of The Volumetrics Eating Plan. We're not paying attention to supersized portions in restaurants, and we have no idea of the calories when we don't make the food ourselves.

The happy news is that your diet doesn't require a complete overhaul. Our advice: Instead of counting foods out, just start counting -- first by calculating how many calories you need, then by indulging in the dishes mentioned in this story. And remember, the more you exercise, the more you can eat! Read on for

Face Yoga!

by Jayden De La C on July 20, 2011

Face Yoga

There is only one way to tell a yogi's age:ask her.

That’s because, as recent studies show, people who practice yoga, meditation and other mindful workouts are biologically 9 years younger on average than their non-exercising counterparts. It’s like a face-and-body lift from the inside out!
Now, if that isn’t enough to make you knock over some poor, unsuspecting non-exerciser on your race to the yoga mat, then perhaps my next suggestion will.

World's most 'revolting' foods

Everyone likes to tell their friends, and sometimes the world, about the most delicious dishes they discover. But not everything is a tasty delicacy worthy of letters home.

Or are they? Do gruesome foodstuffs such as woodworms and fried frogs taste much better than they sound?

We asked our brave iReporters to tell us about the most disgusting foods they've come across on their travels. Here's what they submitted:

1. Century eggs, China

Century eggs -- not as old as they sound, but they taste like it.

Century eggs are popular among the Chinese as a pungent appetizer served with pickled ginger, or cooked in congee. But for others, the idea of feasting on black eggs that have been preserved in clay for months may not be appetizing.

iReporter Danny Holwerda purchased the notorious foodstuff from an Asian supermarket in Texas in April this year and was not impressed with its taste.

“It’s awful -- it tastes like the devil cooked eggs for me,” said Holwerda. “It tastes like something that used to be an egg, but made some really horrible choices."

“I'm actually in the middle of a month-long project for my blog. There have been some memorable ones so far, but none as awful as century eggs.”

Century eggs can be purchased at most Asian supermarkets in the United States, as well as grocery stores throughout China.

2. Tamilok, Philippines

How to make woodworm taste good? Smother it in vinegar, salt and lime.

“The tamilok, or woodworm, is a popular delicacy in Palawan,” says Filipino iReporter Sherbien Dacalanio. “It tastes, and has the same texture, as oysters.”

He recommends diners to “dip the fresh woodworm in lime, vinegar and salt before eating.”

Why Fast Food is Bad for You

If you've ever wondered why fast food is bad for you, this hub page will let you have it in no uncertain terms! The dangers of fast food cannot be understated as the world's population is increasingly becoming overweight.

This is thanks largely to a shift in diet from a wholesome, home cooked diet as little as 40 years ago to a diet rich in processed, unwholesome and additive laden foods. With the ever growing proliferation of fast food outlets and restaurants coupled with huge advertising budgets, its no wonder that more and more people are flocking to eat their highly attractive products.

However, while these products might look appealing and tasty, they contain a wealth of hidden heath hazards which are not only dangerous if eaten in large quantities but are a major cause of obesity, especially in children.
