Liar Liar

by Congresswoman Cindy Woods on March 22, 2012

I find it interesting and sometimes,

Why anyone would chose to get involved with someone who is already married? It never ends well for either party and it is usually the non married participant in the illegitimate relationship that gets hurt and dumped in the end.

Liars and Lies

by Congresswoman Cindy Woods on September 15, 2011

Why is it people who are liars think that if they just keep lying you will believe them? What I mean is someone lies to you, you know they are lying to you, they know they are lying to you but they continue to lie as if continuing the lie is going to convince you! Yeah - I believe that is called denial.

And then they have the nerve to get all indignant about it and try to twist it around to make it sound like you are just persecuting them out of the blue. How can a person’s rational be so whacked? I don’t get it!

I am not saying I have never lied, nor that I don’t ever lie because that it’s self would of course be a lie. Because in reality being anything less than completely honest is lying. Stretching the truth or exaggerating is lying; leaving things out is lying by omission. As far as I am concerned when a person lies to my face all the while knowing I know they are lying to me that is in all actuality telling me they think I am a fool. Someone who can not see the facts, or reason things out knowing what is true and what is not.

When you lie to someone you are calling that person stupid and nothing makes me more livid than to be lied to but  when you add to that by treating me as if I am stupid and you can multiply that by 100 fold. Why is that such a hard concept for liars to understand?

I can totally understand why God says he hates a lying tongue...Proverbs 16 says, “There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him:

Arrogant eyes, a lying tongue hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil”. This is just one of many passages in the Bible that talk about how bad it is to lie or be dishonest.

The devil himself is the father of all lies,

It's really discouraging to give your trust to someone and open up your life in order to help them only to get burned. A friend of my son had been beaten up by her boyfriend and needed a place to stay until she could save enough money to move back to where she came from.

Being a former surviver of an abusive relationship I really wanted to help her. We recently bought a house that has two seperate sides to it. We told her she could stay here, just having to pay the utilites which she would split with my oldest son who was also living on the other side.

This person became like part of our family, spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with us. We told her she was welcome to stay as long as she needed to and she had told us she would probably be staying until April. She was told what her part of the utilities for last month came to and she said she would pay us when she got her SSI check on the third.

The third came and went and she said she had not recieved her check yet but would pay the bills when she did. She also said she did not know why her check hadn't come yet.

Unfortunately today we discovered she had taken all of her stuff and just left, taking the keys with her. There are still a few things as well as some food boxed up sitting on the counter. When we tried to call her she ignored the calls. My son sent her some text messages that she also ignore. Finally he sent her a message saying how upset we were about her just leaving like that and we may call the police because she took the
